When you encounter a new experience there is often a need for new vocabulary. Memories of these experiences consist of the texture, smell, and color of the place.

After recent travels in South America and Europe I have reflected on the experiences and created a set of vocabulary to raise questions about what we see and remember when we encounter something new. These small pieces of vocabulary are being used to create large-scale work. Each experience will build upon the prior to render travel into the present.

I am taking the human emotion from my surroundings, finding the balance, and creating a new language in which to express the experience.
